Is vitamin water healthy?
A South African guide to reading the label — and where VitaReload™ fits.
“Vitamin water” sounds healthy by default. Whether it is depends on three things on the back of the bottle: sugar, vitamins and electrolytes.
Explore VitaReload™ →
1. Check the sugar first
The WHO recommends keeping free sugars below 10% of daily energy, and ideally below 5% — roughly 25g (about six teaspoons) a day for an adult. [1] Some sweetened vitamin waters use a large share of that in one bottle. That is why sugar is the first number to check.
VitaReload™ is formulated with a maximum of 3g sugar per serving, so the vitamins aren’t riding on a sugar load.
2. Which vitamins — and how much?
“Contains vitamins” on the front means little without the amounts on the back. Look for a percentage of the nutrient reference value (NRV). Most people eating a varied diet get enough vitamins from food, so a vitamin drink is a convenient top-up, not a replacement for meals. [3]
VitaReload™ focuses on Vitamin C Plus Zinc For Immune Support. Vitamin C and zinc both contribute to the normal function of the immune system. [4] [5]
3. Does vitamin water have electrolytes?
Often not in meaningful amounts. Electrolytes such as sodium, potassium and magnesium help the body manage fluid balance and matter most after heavy sweating. [2] VitaReload™ pairs electrolytes with its vitamins, so one bottle covers fluid, minerals and Vitamin C plus zinc.

Frequently asked questions
Is vitamin water healthy?
It depends on the label. Many vitamin waters carry several teaspoons of sugar per bottle, which can outweigh the benefit of added vitamins. A low-sugar option with meaningful vitamins can fit a balanced diet; plain water remains an excellent everyday choice.
Does vitamin water have electrolytes?
Some do, many don't — or only in small amounts. Check the nutrition panel for sodium, potassium and magnesium. VitaReload™ combines electrolytes with Vitamin C Plus Zinc For Immune Support.
Can I drink vitamin water every day?
A low-sugar vitamin drink can be part of a daily routine alongside water and a varied diet. Avoid stacking several fortified products with high-dose supplements.
